Rieara, the new singing sensation from Harlem
New York, has been performing since the age of
10. Her musical influences are Phyllis Hyman,
Patti Labelle, Stephanie Mills and the late-great
Minnie Ripperton. She first got her start on public
television's "Sesame Street" performing with "
Lillian K. Leggett Vikings and Vikettes Marching
Band" while in the first grade. While in the band
she got her niche for singing. The band prepped
its members for any type of performing (e.g. instrumental,
singing and acting).
Following the marching band days, she received her next big break while in high school performing in an Off-Broadway Gospel play entitled "You, the Experience". In the play is where she gained her flavor for gospel.
Ms. Rieara brings with her to the music industry a fresh uncut style of music called "The Fierce Diva Sound". This is the type of sound that "puts all sorts of people in a frenzy while leaving the men in a cold sweat". This mellow style is music people can make love, dance think and work to.
